Quentin Coldwater enrolls at Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy to be trained as a magician, where he alongside his friends and colleagues discover that the magical world from his favorite childhood books is real and poses a danger to humanity.
A tale of a group of individuals thrown together by fate (a school of magic) who discover magic is real and is being abused by some nefarious people who seek to destroy the world. This ragtag group must work together while dealing with personal issues to save humanity over and over again. The storyline is a bit ridiculous but it is perfectly played out by annoying but interesting characters and deals with issues ranging from the mundane to dark. An interesting ride for the viewers.
