INSPIRATION TUESDAY: MOVIE REVIEW

THE PERFECT GAME
GENRE: Drama, Biography, Inspirational
STARRING: Clifton Collins Jr., Cheech Marin, Moises Arias, Jake T. Austin, Ryan Ochoa, Carlos Padilla...
RUN TIME: 1hr 58min
RELEASED: April 16th, 2010

The film is based on the events leading to the 1957 Little League World Series, which was won by the first team from outside the United States, the Industrial Little League of Monterrey, Mexico, who defeated the heavily favored U.S. team.

This is the story of nine boys living in a small town and bound together by their love for baseball. In a bid to rein in their mischievous attitude, the towns parish priest with the help of a recently returned player of a popular baseball team will turn this ragtag group into a unassailable force which will take them all the way to the top, while dealing with the problem of being the odd one out. This movie was written in a true underdog goes from the bottom to the top fashion, featuring scenes that are synonymous with such genre. A few historical accuracy problems seems to be the most off-putting side of this movie. An inspirational story

RATING: 8/10
