This movie is based on a true story surrounding the events leading to the 1966 NCAA University Division Basketball Championship. Don Haskins, head coach of Texas Western College , coached a team with an all-black starting lineup, a first in NCAA history.
This is the story of a team that changed the narrative by winning the national championship with a predominantly black lineup. The team fairy tale run is not without complications as they will have to go against the world with determination and courage. A feel good movie based on a true story.
