Shaun doesn't have a very good day, he is an electronics salesman, has no direction in his life. He is disrespected by his colleagues, does not get along with his stepfather Philip, and is dumped by his girlfriend, Liz. so he decides to turn his life around by getting his ex to take him back, but he times it for right in the middle of what may be a zombie apocalypse... But for him, it's an opportunity to show everyone he knows how useful he is by saving them all. All he has to do is survive... And get his ex back.

A very fine blend of comedy and horror in a British sauce. Need I say more. A must watch.

With her best friends at her side, she will explore this new world making mistakes and discovering herself. A funny but fresh take on the life of a typical teenager.

First of all, if you have read the book on which this movie was made, then this might not be for you. But if you haven't, then this movie is a must watch for you. An unwilling hero thrust literally into a world of Greek mythology alongside allies, set out to right the wrongs of an absentee father. Throw in an unlikely villain and we have a action packed adventure with interesting twist and turns. The plot beginning was a little too fast but it more than make up for it as it progressed

After a night raid gone wrong, a young soldier discovers a photograph of a woman at same time saving his life. After his discharge, he decides to track down the woman in the photograph to offer thanks. Things soon take an interesting turn after he meets her and develops feelings which seemed to be mutual . However they must both fight for chance to love and heal.

Though this movie is a comedy, it shows the viewers the reward of perseverance and courage in the face of an impossible task.

A lovely book, nice progression, strong but clichéd plot and a heart pumping adventure. A great way to start your week.

The author displayed a great knowledge of middle eastern culture which sometimes felt like overkill and he also made considerable effort to differentiate between good Muslims and bad ones. You will definitely enjoy this one and crave for more.

This movie is one of the best Adam Sandler movie I have ever seen. His on screen connection with Drew Barrymore is almost perfect. The holiday setting definitely adds to the charm of this movie. This movie is a funny, heartwarming tale of finding love irrespective of any stumbling blocks.

INSPIRATION TUESDAY: MOVIE REVIEW

THE KINGS OF SUMMER

Joe Toy, on the verge of adolescence, finds himself increasingly frustrated by his single father, Frank's attempts to manage his life. Declaring his freedom once and for all, he escapes to a clearing in the woods with his best friend, Patrick, and a strange kid named Biaggio. He announces that they are going to build a house there, free from responsibility and parents. Once their makeshift abode is finished, the three young men find themselves masters of their own destiny, alone in the woods. 

This is a coming of age movie about three friends on a journey of self discovery, freedom from overbearing, intrusive and sometimes violent parents. Their journey begins on a good note, but along the line the realities of being a teenager creeps in. An unfortunate incident seemed to put things perspective for these young adults. 

This movie is a profound watch that will stir up a need for self awareness in everyone.
