THROWBACK THURSDAY: BOOK REVIEW

THE  BOOK  OF DEACON,  Volume 1By Joseph R. Lallo
Genre: Fantasy
Published: Feb. 2, 2010
Words: 149,390
Language: English
ISBN: 9781452402604

The tale of Myranda Celeste, a young woman orphaned by a century long war, and her chance discovery of a fallen soldier's priceless cargo. The find will change her life, sending her on an adventure of soldiers and rebels, wizards and warriors, and beasts both noble and monstrous. Each step will bring her closer to the truth of her potential, of the war, and of the fate of her world.

This book has it all, Wizard in tower and hundred-year war, underground fighters, utopian school, evil kings, ghost soldiers, dragons, Mermaid, the fairy and Foxman. Also the book does not look well edited and pointless and redundant lines features prominently. However when you get over the clutter and mindless chatter, this book make for an exciting read that leaves you wanting more.

Rating: 7/10
